The Welding Faculty of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTUU "KPI") was founded in 1976, though its oldest subdepartment – Welding Production – has been operating over 60 years. Faculty foundation was initiated by the President of the National Academy of sciences of Ukraine, academician Boris Paton.
Welding Faculty is the biggest school of specialists in the field of welding and related technologies in Ukraine, and it’s also one of the biggest in the world.
The teaching process and research programs and courses are run in a close collaboration with the E. O. Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Today Welding Faculty offers fully accredited programs in different undergraduate and graduate courses (including International Institute of Welding qualifications) in three subdepartments.
