Welding Faculty
NTUU "KPI"
Welding Faculty is licensed as Approved Training Body (ATB, license No ANB-UA-ATB-01) for the education of welding personnel with responsibility according to the International Institute of Welding Guideline IAB-252r1-2011.
IAB-IIW Qualification levels include:
International Welding Engineer, Technologist and Specialist programs’ graduates may also apply for European diploma of the same level.
Please take into consideration that NTUU “KPI” International Office does not provide visa support for those who attend the IIW courses only.
Qualification awarded: International Welding Engineer (IWE)
Duration: 6 months (short program, part. time), 1 year (full program, part. time)
Teaching languages available: Russian
Entry requirements: At least bachelor degree in welding, applied physics, metallurgy, foundry engineering, materials technology, applied mechanics, engineering mechanics machinery, power engineering, power machinery, electrotechnics, electromechanics, aircraft and rocket building, aircraft leads and powerplants, shipbuilding, civil construction. Experience in welding production is also taken into consideration (see also IAB-252, latest edition).

Qualification awarded: International Welding Technologist (IWT)
Teaching languages available: Russian
Entry requirements: Technical education (diploma from technical school) in a field of welding, metallurgy, materials science, mechanics, materials processing, power engineering and machinery, electrotechnics, electromechanics, aircraft building, shipbuilding, civil construction. Experience in welding production is also taken into consideration (see also IAB-252, latest edition).

Entry requirements: Vocational technical education (diploma from vocational technical school) in a field of welding, metallurgy, materials science, mechanics, materials processing, power engineering and machinery, electrotechnics, electromechanics, aircraft building, shipbuilding, civil construction with 2 years of practice. Experience in welding production is also taken into consideration (see also IAB-252, latest edition).

Qualification awarded: International Welding Practitioner (IWP)
Teaching languages available: Russian
Entry requirements: Vocational technical education (diploma from vocational technical school) in a field of welding, welder’s certificate according to ISO 9606 with 2 years of practice. Experience in welding production is also taken into consideration (see also IAB-252, latest edition).

Entry requirements: Technical education (diploma from technical school) in a field of welding, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or metallurgy. Experience in a field of inspection in welding and IIW valid diplomas of IWE/ IWT are also taken into consideration (see also IAB-041, latest edition).
